Frequently Asked Questions
-
Wear loose, comfortable clothing such as activewear, loungewear, or soft layers. You will be lying still for up to 60 minutes, during which your body temperature can drop naturally as you relax. Warm socks and extra layers are highly recommended. Please avoid noisy fabrics or clinking jewellery.
-
For group sound baths, please bring a yoga mat (or padded sleeping mat), a cozy blanket, a pillow for your head or under your knees, an eye mask (optional), and a bottle of water.
-
Everyone experiences sound healing differently. You may feel gentle physical vibrations, a deep sense of weightlessness, or visual imagery while resting. Falling asleep is very common and completely fine - your subconscious mind and physical body still receive the restorative benefits of the sound frequencies.
-
While sound baths are safe and therapeutic for most people, the deep vibrations and sound waves require caution for certain health conditions:
First Trimester of Pregnancy: Sound baths are not recommended during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy.
Epilepsy & Seizures: High-frequency sounds and deep resonance can occasionally trigger sound-induced seizures.
Pacemakers & Implants: Vibrations can affect certain medical implants or pacemakers.
Severe Mental Health Conditions: Those experiencing unmanaged schizophrenia, psychosis, or severe PTSD should consult their medical professional prior to attending.
If you have metal implants, severe tinnitus, or recent major surgery, please reach out to Phoebe before booking.

In a group sound bath, the soundscape is designed for the overall energy of the room. In a private 1:1 session, Phoebe conducts a brief check-in to understand your specific physical, emotional, or energetic needs. She then tailors the instrument placement, sound frequencies, and session flow directly around your personal goals.
-
Yes! Phoebe offers private bookings for couples, friends, families, and special celebrations (such as birthdays or wellness gatherings). These can take place in a studio space or at a private venue of your choice across Auckland.
-
Phoebe can adapt to most quiet spaces! A large boardroom, multi-purpose room, or open studio space cleared of tables works well. Participants can lie down on mats or sit comfortably in chairs if floor space is limited.
-
Not at all. Corporate sound baths require zero physical effort, movement, or prior experience. It is an inclusive wellness activity where team members simply lie back or sit comfortably, listen, and allow their nervous system to rest.
